Ring of Peaks

The Valdeón Valley, together with the nearby municipality of Oseja de Sajambre, constitutes the main access points to the Anillo de Picos, one of the most spectacular high-mountain hiking routes in the Cantabrian Mountains. Its name refers to the way local mountain dwellers used to lead pack animals by their reins through this narrow passage, now an iconic high-mountain hiking route.
